In most industries, classrooms, and community organizations, we believe that one of the most important characteristics to have is creativity. “Think outside of the box!” “Be able to troubleshoot problems in unique and innovative ways.” We are constantly so preoccupied with creativity’s end result that we rarely take time to consider what the creative process actually looks like.

Creativity does not happen over night. It takes time and nurturing. In order to achieve a truly unique and creative thought, you have to push your rational mind to the side.
